Ingredients

  • 4 slices of baguette
  • 4 oz. goat cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 figs, sliced
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • 1.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • 2.

Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices and arrange on a baking sheet.

  • 3.

Drizzle olive oil on both sides of the baguette slices and season lightly with salt and pepper.

  • 4.

Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy, turning halfway through.

  • 5.

While the toasts are baking, mix the goat cheese, thyme, and rosemary in a small bowl until well combined.

  • 6.

Once the toasts are out of the oven and slightly cooled, spread a generous layer of herbed goat cheese on each slice.

  • 7.

Top each with sliced figs and drizzle with honey.

  • 8.

Serve immediately, garnished with a few extra herbs if desired.
