Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup finely chopped napa cabbage
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Szechuan peppercorns (crushed)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp chili oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp corn starch (for dusting)
Instructions
- 1In a bowl, combine flour and water to form a smooth dough. Knead for about 5 minutes. Cover with a damp cloth and let rest for 30 minutes.
- 2In another bowl, mix ground pork, chopped cabbage, green onions, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, Szechuan peppercorns, sesame oil, chili oil, salt, and pepper. Combine well.
- 3Divide the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Roll each ball into a thin circle (about 3 inches in diameter).
- 4Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each wrapper. Fold over and pinch to seal, creating a half-moon shape. Make sure to remove any air inside.
- 5Steam the dumplings in a steamer lined with parchment paper for approximately 10-12 minutes or until cooked through.
- 6While the dumplings are steaming, prepare the dipping sauce by mixing soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil.
- 7Serve the dumplings hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
