Ingredients
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 tea bags (black tea or green tea)
  • 1 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions
  1. 1In a medium saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  2. 2Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Steep for 5 minutes.
  3. 3Remove the tea bags and add the honey (or sugar) to the warm tea, stirring until dissolved.
  4. 4Add the fresh lemon juice and mint leaves to the tea, stirring to combine.
  5. 5Let the mixture cool down to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill.
  6. 6Once chilled, strain the mixture to remove mint leaves (if desired) or leave them for a stronger mint flavor.
  7. 7Serve over ice in glasses, garnished with lemon slices and mint sprigs.
