Instructions
- 1In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar for the crust.
- 2Add the chilled butter and mix until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 3Stir in the ice water a tablespoon at a time until mixture forms a ball. Divide dough in half, shape into disks, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- 4Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 5Roll out one disk of dough on a floured surface to fit a 9-inch pie pan. Place the rolled dough in the pie pan, trimming excess dough.
